Opening Hours over Festive Period
The Practice will be closed all day Tuesday 25 December, Wednesday 26 December, Tuesday 1 January, Wednesday 2 January. NHS Lanarkshire Out of Hours service will provide General Medical Services during these periods. The Practice will be open Monday, Thursday and Friday of both weeks 8.30am to 6pm as usual.
Christmas Hamper
Congratulations to Jean Burdon who won the Christmas Hamper in this years raffle.
East Kilbride Care Homes
Plans are underway to change the way the nursing homes in East Kilbride are cared for. The recommendation is that each Care Home’s patients are cared for by just one GP practice. This will provide a higher quality of care to our patients in the home as there are to be regular weekly visits to the care home, and we will no longer have to visit multiple care homes during our on-call commitments. We have a meeting with the Health Board mid- December to discuss which home we may be associated with and will keep you posted regarding the outcome.
QOF visit
In accordance with the Quality and Outcomes framework to which GP practices now work to we had our assessment visit at the beginning of December. We are pleased to report that the feedback we received was very positive and suggests that we continue to provide a high quality of patient care.
Premises Upgrade
The architects’ plans for our room extension have now been sent to building control and we await confirmation of funding from the Health Board in order to commence building works.
