Congratulations to Dr McCready on the birth of her son Joshua Robert McCready on 7 July 2011. Both she and her family are well.

MATERNITY LOCUMS

Dr Siobhan Paterson has been employed to cover Dr McCready's duties whilst she is off on maternity leave. We ask that whilst our partner is off on their maternity leave patients are sympathetic to the extra demands that are placed on the remaining partners. Dr Chisholm, Dr Geddes and Dr Bennett will do their best to accommodate patient’s needs but appreciate your co-operation in your contacts with our locum Doctor.

APPOINTMENTS

The Practice are trying a book on the day only appointment system so when you require seeing the Doctor phone on the day you need seen after 08.30 to make your appointment. This is in order to reduce non-attendance rates.

EXTENDED HOURS

The Practice now opens early on a Wednesday morning and late on a Thursday Evening.

PUBLIC HOLIDAYS

Please note that the practice will be closed on the following dates with cover provided by NHS24 as usual:

• 26 September 2011
• 26 and 27 December 2011
• 2 and 3 January 2012

PROTECTED LEARNING

The surgery will close on Wednesday 19 October 2011 and Wednesday 16th November 2011 at 1pm this is to allow for practice training. NHS24 covering General Medical Services as usual. Phone 08454 24 24 24.

INFLUENZA VACCINATIONS

If you are 65 years of age and over please phone the surgery in the middle of September 2011 to make your appointment for your flu vaccination with Nurse.
