The practice originated in 1955 in The Village area of East Kilbride, with branch surgeries at The Murray Square and Westwood Square. The practice moved to Alison Lea Medical Centre when it opened in 1969. At this time the branch surgery was at Strathmore House which closed in 2000.
The practice consists of 4 GPs, 2 practice nurses, a practice manager and 7 receptionists. We have close links with the district nurses and health visitors attached to the practice.
Other services available within Alison Lea Medical Centre include physiotherapy and chiropody. We also have 2 excellent treatment room nurses who are responsible primarily for blood tests, injections and dressings.
